Admission For Various Graduate & PG Education Programmes In NCERT

Regional Institute of Education, Mysore, is a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Institute is offering innovative Teacher Education Programmes in Science, Mathematics, English, Humanities and Education. The Institute is a recognized research centre for research in education, science and interdisciplinary areas. The Institute has well qualified faculty and excellent infrastructural facilities, library, hostels, health center and sports facilities on a sprawling residential campus. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Mysore which is a NAAC 'Grade A' accredited University. The Institute invites applications for admission to the following integrated pre-service programmes for the academic year 2013-14.

(Integrated UG Programme to prepare Secondary School Teachers in Science and Mathematics) 4 Years (Eight Semester CBCS** Scheme) a) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics b) Botany, Zoology And Chemistry A pass in Hr. Sec./PUC /equivalent examination with 45% marks in the aggregate with subjects: i) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for PCM Stream, and ii) Physics, Chemistry and Biology OR Chemistry, Botany and Zoology for BZC stream.

2. Bachelor of Arts Education (B.A.Ed.) (Integrated UG Programme to prepare Secondary School Teachers in English and Social Science) 4 Years (Eight Semester CBCS Scheme) a) English Literature, Social Scienceand Language Studies b) English Literature, Social Science and Geography A pass in Hr. Sec./PUC / equivalent examination with 45% marks in the aggregate with :English, Regional Language and any two of the following: History/ Geography/ Economics/ Political Science/ Sociology

3. Master of Science Education (M.Sc.Ed.) - Physics/Chemistry/ Mathematics (Integrated PG Programme to prepare Senior Secondary School Teachers in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics) 6 years (Twelve Semester CBCS Scheme) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the first eight semesters and Physics/Chemistry/ Mathematics in the last four semesters A pass in Hr. Sec./PUC/ equivalent examination with 45% marks in the aggregate with subjects :Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

4. Master of Education (M.Ed.) 1 Year (Two Semester CBCS Scheme) . A pass in B.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. / B.A.Ed. or equivalent degree with 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates with a PG degree will be given appropriate weightage.

5. Diploma Course in Guidance and Counseling (DCGC): One year DCGC is offered through distance mode. Admission in September / October 2013.
